1 Thessalonians 3:12-13
and may the Lord cause you to increase and abound in love for one another, and for all people, just as we also do for you; so that He may establish your hearts without blame in holiness before our God and Father at the coming of our Lord Jesus with all His saints.
Holy Father, I praise you for you are my God. You are my desire, my all.
Lord, I lift up the Swanson family before you. Surround them. Protect husband and wife and their relationship to each other. Protect the children and draw their hearts to you. Be with the adults as they go to work. Give them wisdom in their jobs. Fill them with your presence. Be with their children as they go to school. Keep them faith. Draw them to you. Become more and more real to them. Teach the family to trust in you.
Lord, I lift up the Gen X ministry. Give Bob and Diane wisdom as they lead this group. Draw the group to you and to each other. Build the group as a community. Allow them to be real and to grow together in you. Open doors for them to learn to serve you.
You know the needs of this group: the stresses of life and the business of family and jobs. Work in their lives so that they may be able to make time for you and for their families. Strengthen their love for husbands and wives. Give wisdom for finding the right time to spend with their children. Stretch them, but don’t break them. Establish their hearts in your word and your holiness.
