Philippians 1:5-8.
For I am confident of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will perfect it until the day of Christ Jesus. For it is only right for me to feel this way about you all, because I have you in my heart, since both in my imprisonment and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, you all are partakers of grace with me. For God is my witness, how I long for you all with the affection of Christ Jesus.

Father, I praise you because you are the eternal God, the all knowing God and you will finish the work that you began in us. Thank you for the people of SG. Thank you for the many that long to grow in knowing and loving you. We have so far to go. Fill us with your grace. Help us to seek you and to be willing to share your grace with those around us.

Lord, I lift up Pastor Marty. Thank you for the way that he’s goal is to see lives grow in your knowledge and grace. Thank you for his hard work and his steadfastness. Give him wisdom as he directs the community life leaders. Give him wisdom as he strives to make SG a place of prayer. Give him your grace so that he can see the work that you’ve begun. The work that begins with the first steps of faith and the work as believers trust you more and more. Let Marty see the BIG things that you are doing in the church these days.

Father, teach Marty to pray. Teach him to pray specific prayers and then give him the eyes and ears to see your answers. Give him cause on a daily basis to say “that definitely is a God thing!” because he sees your hand moving.

Surround his family. Provide both strength and protection to him and his family. Give them quality time together. Give them joy to be a family. Help Marty to see the work that God is doing in his own family and cause his heart to over flow because of it.

In the eternal name of Jesus,
Amen
