James 1:2-6.
Consider it all joy, my brethren, when you encounter various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance. And let endurance have its perfect result, so that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing. But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all generously and without reproach, and it will be given to him. But he must ask in faith without any doubting, for the one who doubts is like the surf of the sea, driven and tossed by the wind.
I praise you, Father for you are an all Knowing God. Thank you for being a God that hears us and loves to answer us. We lack faith and we faint and we are like children not knowing what direction to go in, but not stopping long enough to hear you. Teach us faith. Give us wisdom. Open our eyes to the direction that you want us to go in.
Lord, I lift up the singles at SG before you. Thank you for the place that you’ve brought them to. Thank you for the freedom that they have to worship and serve you. Give them wisdom to know how to spend their time.
Give them peace and let them understand that you know about their situation. Father, you know about loneliness and cares. You know how the single parent feels lost and overwhelmed at times. You know about the young single that feels that you will never bring someone special in their lives. You know the trials that are unique to singleness.
Bring into their lives special friends, male and female as only you know best. Help them to pray and ask you to fill their loneliness. Give them wisdom to know what to what to pray for.
Give them peace knowing that their future is in your hands (and nothing can remove them from your hands! Teach them to use this precious time in their live for your glory.
In Jesus’ precious name,
amen
