Isaiah 41:13.
"For I am the LORD your God, who upholds your right hand,
Who says to you, `Do not fear, I will help you.'
Oh, Father if we could just understand who you are!! You are the creator of the universe! You hold the stars and the sun in its place!
Yet, you love us and you care for us! We are so silly to forget that you want to be involved in our daily lives. Help us not to forget. Heal us of our tendency towards fear because we forget that you are with us.
Lord, I lift up the church that is called Sun Grove. Thank you for the lives that have been touched for you. Thank you for the community that is better because SG has been involved. Most of all, Lord thank you for the future that you have for SG. “Plans to prosper and not harm”.
Open our hearts to the vision that you have for SG. Build an excitement that can’t be contained. Help this vision to not only be excitement – but help it to be ‘faith’ – the substance of things not seen. Lord, I ask that you set our paths straight – that we will know the direction, the home, the mission that you have called us to as a body.
Lord, we need your wisdom. We need your direction. We need the ability to have faith to proceed with the vision that you have given us.
Heal us of the sin that gets in the way of knowing you. Open our eyes to see your moving around us. Teach us to forgive each other and ourselves.
Bring to mind the way that you’ve worked in our past to bring us closer to you. Bring to mind the answers to prayers and the way that you’ve intervened in our lives. Bring us to the point that we can accept that vision of Sun Grove 2005 and of Sun Grove 2010.
Prepare us to walk in the way that you are revealing. Prepare us to receive the vision that you are giving. Clear our hearts and minds of our own ways so that we can be open to your leading.
