Hebrews 12:1-2
Therefore, since we have so great a cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also lay aside every encumbrance and the sin which so easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Father, you are the author and finisher of our faith. Thank you for all that you’ve done. Thank you for the promise of being with you someday. Help us to lay aside the sin that entangles us and distracts us. Teach us obedience to you.
Thank you for the men’s ministry and the women’s ministry at SG. Thank you for the men and women who have pour their lives into growing the people of SG into men and women that honor you. Use these ministries to provide safe places to test the faith, to share heart needs and hurts. Bring the right men to be support for the men that need them. Bring the right women together to challenge and support the other.
Give wisdom to the leaders to provide safe, fun and interesting activities that will draw men and women to where they can be challenged. Cause these functions not to just be time wasters but use them to build special memories, special friends and special lives.
In Jesus name,
amen
