Romans 12:1-2
Therefore I urge you, brethren, by the mercies of God, to present your bodies a living and holy sacrifice, acceptable to God, which is your spiritual service of worship. And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
Thank you, Father for your mercies and how they are new every morning! Thank you for your forgiveness and love. We are in need of mercy and healing! Touch our lives and teach us how to be holy, living sacrifices for you.
Thank you, Lord for the small groups and the ‘family’ that they are. Put a hedge around them. Provide the leaders with wisdom to know how to grow their charges. Help them to be supported and grow along too. Teach each group how to care for each other as you’ve commanded us – with an unconditional love. Teach us what care really means.
For those in small groups to be transformed into your likeness – that their minds might be renewed. Remove the old sinfulness and instead help the small groups support each other in learning what faith and trust and what your will really is for their lives. Help them support each other to do what is good and acceptable and perfect.
Because you are the father of us all.
