Ephesians 3:14-21 For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth derives its name, that He would grant you, according to the riches of His glory, to be strengthened with power through His Spirit in the inner man, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; and that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled up to all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen.

Lord, I thank you for who you are. I thank you for your Glory and that you are a God over all gods. Thank you for the way nature declares your handy work – in it’s beauty, it’s power, it’s majesty. Thank you for the ways that you speak to us in so many ways. Teach us to listen to you. Teach us to hear you and see your handy work around us.

Father, I lift up Pastor Marty. Thank you for his love for you, for his willingness and determination to grow the people of Sun Grove into a deeper life with you. Protect him – surround him with your love and peace. Put a hedge about his family, protect his marriage and give him time to spend with his family. Thank you for Kerri’s ministry. Thank you for their busy lives.
Thank you for the way that her heart is directed to grow children in your love and faith. Protect her. Help her not to be distracted by things that aren’t important. Help her to find people to delegate things that need to be done by other people. I ask that you keep Marty and Kerri growing close to you and to each other. Help them to be excited about the way that you are moving at SG. Help them to share with each other and with their girls. Help them to strengthen each other. Help them to thoroughly enjoy hearing and sharing about how you are working in each of their ministries.

Father, I lift up their little girls. Help the girls to realize that their mom and dad have a genuine and true love of you. Become more and more real to the girls as the follow in the their parents faith. Become more and more real to them and call them to trust in you. Build Marty and Kerri’s faith by seeing you work in their lives. Father, strengthen them to stand against the health problem and distractions that will come into their family.

I ask for wisdom for Marty as he works with the community life leaders, as he works at bringing the congregation to a point where we can be better prayers, give him a vision, give him direction. Father, I ask that you teach him how to listen to you, to speak the words and go the direction that you need for him to go.

Give him wisdom as he works with the leaders of the small groups and show him how to encourage them. For each of the coaches and leaders I ask that you might give them direction in growing the people in their groups. Give them wisdom and strength. Be with the relationships of the community life leaders. Be with their families and strengthen them. Be with them as they are wifes, mothers, workers. Teach them to hear you. Teach them to know the height and depth of your knowledge and great love.
In Jesus Name,
AMEN
