2 Chronicles 7:14.
and My people who are called by My name humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin and will heal their land.
Thank you for calling us by your name. Thank you that you cared so much that you died on the cross. Thank you for your holiness and awesomeness. You are the creator and sustainer of the universe – we seek your face and ask for healing for our nation. Lord, we turn our back on you. We do not help the sick and the needy.
Teach us, Father how to seek your face. Make us desperate for you. Make us see everyday how to repent and to grow closer to you. Teach us how to make the right choices and turn from our wicked ways.. Teach us about righteousness and teach us how we can follow you.
Lord, I lift up the nation that is hurting from the hurricanes, fires and flooding. Use the disasters that have happened this year to open hearts to you. Use the weather to bring people to repentance. Father, I ask that you enable the relief efforts. That you might give wisdom to the fire department, the police the city and state agencies on how to handle rebuilding. Bring believers and nonbelievers to assist in humanitarian aid. Touch people’s heart with compassion. Touch people and help us realize how much we fail you and need your mercy in our lives!
Lord, I lift up the nation that is hurting because of broken and disjointed families. Bring us to a place where we can be one another’s family and to reach out to those that need someone to be there with them. I ask that you would be with the families that were separated by hurricane Katrina and are now all over the US. Help them feel loved and supply their needs.
We need your forgiveness and healing! Hear from heaven and save our nation!
In Jesus name,
Amen
