1 Corinthians 13:1-7
If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal.
If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing.
And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing.
Love is patient, love is kind and is not jealous; love does not brag and is not arrogant,
does not act unbecomingly; it does not seek its own, is not provoked, does not take into account a wrong suffered,
does not rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth;
bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.

Thank you, Father for the supernatural love that is in you. Thank you for the love that brought Jesus to the cross, for his faithfulness in dying on the cross and his power in raising from the dead. Thank you for your forgiveness.

Teach us how to love like you do. So many times we are arrogant and unbecoming. Teach us to bears all things. Believe all things. Hopes all things. Endures all things.

Put your hand on your people at Sun Grove and let them be know for your love. Teach us to love each other and care for each others needs. Teach us to reach out to our community and care for the people around us.

Thank you for Phil’s love of the people of Elk Grove. Teach him out to live out that love. Thank you for Marty and his love of your people. Teach him to how show others how to love in your name. Thank you for Jim and how he loves people and youth in particular. Give him wisdom in knowing how to share your love with youth and everyone around him. Thank you for Mike and how he loves you and loves to share you with others.
Put a hedge around our pastors and their families. Help your love start there. Teach them about the love that is patient and kind. Make us teachable and help us to follow their example of Godly love. Fill our families and homes with your love.

I lift up the people in SG. Help us to learn to rejoice in the truth. Teach us, Lord to love.
