Deuteronomy 10:17-18
"For the LORD your God is the God of gods and the Lord of lords, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God who does not show partiality nor take a bribe.
"He executes justice for the orphan and the widow, and shows His love for the alien by giving him food and clothing.
Father, thank you for calling a people not your own. Thank you that you’ve given me the privilege of coming to you – the LORD of all lords and God of all gods! Thank you for the way you care for the widows, the orphans, those of us that do not feel we have a human support system behind us. Forgive us, Father for not reaching out to those in need as we should. Give us eyes that see needs in others hearts and respond as you would to them.
Thank you for the way the Emmanuel Orphanage and Eduardo and Anna are reaching out to those in need in Mexico. Give them the satisfaction knowing the good they are doing hasn’t been wasted, show them how they are being used of you. Thank you for the boys and now girls who have a home because of their faithfulness.
Be with Eduardo and Anna. Strengthen their marriage. Give them joy in working together. Protect them for the distractions that come into life. Help them not be too busy for each other – but to realize the importance of supporting each other.
Provide for the needs of the orphanage. Lord, you know the needs for the physical needs of the buildings: water, electricity, sheets, beds, food. You also know the heart needs of the boys and the girls that are staying there. As they grow and become adults help them to keep in their hearts your words and wisdom that they’ve learned. Draw them to want to help the younger orphans.
Thank you for those at SG that have a heart for the orphans and the orphanage. Give them directions and compassion.
I lift up the community where they are that they may see Christ at work in the orphanage. Cause their hearts to be drawn to you because of the faithfulness of your servants there.
Thank you for your faithfulness in all things.
